Thornton beach is famous for something that most beaches in the world can’t make a claim for, and that fame is for it’s bouncing rocks.
These rocks can miraculously bounce in mysterious ways, for example bouncing higher and faster on their second or third bounce. Defying the laws of physics in doing so.
Just like Uluru, Granite Island (Victor Harbour) and other places around Australia there are many reports of people “sorry” for taking rocks from this beach as souvenirs and wishing to return them.
Ever been to Thornton Beach, or seen “bouncing rocks” before, if so post a reply and share your story here.
